  Let's all show up at the Memorial - and gasp - Partake!

  here is a plan to throw the entire organization into chaos.

  many of the 'apostates' here believe in the ransom of jesus - and the command to partake of the 'communion' of the lords evening meal, right?

  i have come to accept that that 'memorial' is simply a recognition of jesus' sacrifice.

  IMO it is the Catch 22 of the WTS.

  If you attend and pass the wine and bread, you are rejecting Christ.

  If you partake of the wine and bread, than you drinking and eating to an Angel.

  So, no matter which you do it is wrong.

  How is the WTS like other religions?

  The Catholics have Rome, the Mormons have Salt Lake, the Muslims have Mecca, and the WTS has Brooklyn

  Catholics have their pope
  Mormons have their prophets
  Muslims have their clarics
  WTS have their governing body

  From the standpoint of religion history, JWs are just another Christian, even Protestant sect.

  From a stand point that the WTS is a off shot of the Adventist and the Dawn Bible students are an off shot of the WTS this is true.

  Organizationally, they are more like the Roman Catholics.

  Doctrinally they are not like either Protestant or Catholic.

  God's name is Jehovah

  Bible says God's name is YHVH (): Pronunciation "Jehovah" was instituted by Christian scholars in 12th century

  So what? Jesus is a corrupted form of Yeshua, more accurately translated into English as Joshua. Funny how Christians never want to play the name game over that.

  Christ is God's Son and is inferior to him

  Christ is God. He took on the form of man to come to earth.

  Most Christians accept the use of Johovah as God's name. They are not saying not to use Jehovah, but it is also not used in that form anywhere in the orginal text Hebrew or Greek. Most JWs know this, but most talk like the orginal New Testemant writers did use Jehovah in their writings. I have never had anyone tell me not to use Jehovah.

  When A JW tells me that I do not use the name of God, I like to remind them that Yeshua means,"YHWH Salvation". So I most certainly do use it, although I use it in its common anglo form of Jesus. Also I like to use YHWH instead of Jehovah or God when talking to JWs. It seams to throw them off their game a little.

  Crazy JW Sister

  my sister will not allow my nieces to go to the amusement park with me this weekend if my disfellowshipped niece (other sister's 20 yr. old daughter) comes along.. my family is aware that i have my doubts and complaints against the org and that i am living in sin with my boyfriend, and they still talk to me.

  not that i am complaining.

  i am grateful.. but i had to stick up for my df'ed niece today.

  I agree with Hubert, you do the right thing sticking up for your niece. I hope she appreciates the love you have shown. Of course she may never know what you have done.

  There is NO annual service report in the Janaury 1st WT

  well, i have confirmed rumors that have gone around about there being no annual service report for the january 1st, 2005 issue.. .

  it seems, for reasons unknown, that the watchtower has ended another decades long tradition.

  in the second study article for the january 1st, 2005 watchtower, entitled, "trained to give a thorough witness," paragraph 24 reads: .

  I was talking to a dub about it, and he thinks it is because of the way the Society now ships the literature. Since it takes extra time to ship the literature to the assembly halls, then a brother from each hall has to go pick up the literature, and distribute it to the congregation, that the Society has been making up the lag in time by printing the magazines earlier, thus the delay from January 1 to February 1. Does that make any sense?

  Bonnie_Clyde, It may not be correct, but it is consistant with the WTS pushing the blame for everything on to someone/something else. Triple A

  dear soon-to-be ex-friends:.

  i hereby wholeheartedly and by my own free will request to have all records which indicate my current association with the jehovah's witnesses and it's legal entity, the watchtower bible and tract society, deleted at this time.. the extremelly long time i endured while in your company has been wonderful at times and not so much at others, just like any experience in this great life.. i've looked forward to this time for so long, in which i won't feel forced to attend all those repetitive and boring weekly meetings, add to that the exhausting and expensive assemblies, the memorial, all the time-wasting preaching activities, plus the 'expected' socializing among members.

  it's all so enslaving to me!

  i haven't posted in ages... life has been really busy and happy... two of my pieces of art were chosen for the 2005 calendar for annabelle's collection.

  my months are november and december... december being chosen for the cover.

  i am really excited!
